About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and driven professional to join our Finance team as a Vice President in the Legal Entity Controller function. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting of legal entities across multiple regions, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and local GAAP. You will play a key role in maintaining robust controls, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving process improvements and strategic initiatives.

This position offers the opportunity to lead a team, collaborate with global partners, and contribute to the financial integrity and operational excellence of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee accounting and financial reporting for legal entity statements under US GAAP and local GAAP.

- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance across multiple stakeholders, lines of business, legal entities, and regions.

- Provide day-to-day guidance to the local team and take ownership of stakeholder deliverables.

- Review and manage FX risk through trade-out and capital hedging in accordance with FASB (FAS 52) requirements.

- Monitor general ledger controls, including attributions, inter-entity breaks, investment equity reconciliations, IFRS reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Prepare and review regulatory reports in compliance with US Fed requirements, RBI, HKMA, MAS, APRA, and other regulators.

- Develop and present management information decks to support senior leadership in decision-making.

- Ensure adherence to control metrics, legal entity control standards, and internal policies, including booking model reviews.

- Perform daily monitoring and control activities to ensure operational integrity.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with onshore partners and business teams.

- Implement internal controls and procedures to mitigate financial and business risks.

- Drive migration to strategic data platforms to enhance data integrity and efficiency.

- Lead strategic projects, system implementations, and finance transformation initiatives.

- Manage, mentor, and develop team members to foster a motivated and high-performing team environment.

Required Qualifications:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant, or equivalent Finance/Technical degree.

- Self-starter with strong prioritization and deliverable management skills.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent approach to work.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.

- Experience creating ad hoc reports for senior management.

- Proven ability to execute on special projects with limited lead time or information.

- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Strong team player and trusted partner to stakeholders.

- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience analyzing large data sets.

- Demonstrated people management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2+ years of relevant work experience in Financial Services, Accounting, or Controller functions.

- Flexibility with shift timing, generally aligned with India business hours (9:00 AM IST start, with occasional earlier starts based on deliverables).
