
- Indian law qualified lawyer and company secretary in India
- Minimum 15+ years of post-qualification working experience
- Prior in-house legal experience in a financial institution or a global corporate centre would be an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of legal framework, including employee and labour matters, governance matters generally, and possess strong document drafting skills
- Good knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relating to global corporate centres in India
- Strong technical knowledge of compliance with company law requirements and adequate experience as a company secretary in India.

- A calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurised environment
- Provide legal advice, documentation support and perform legal risk management in relation to the business. within India, including but not limited to:
(i) employee and labour matters,
(ii) applicable laws and regulations
(iii) litigation or regulatory or other investigations
(iv) documentation with vendors, affiliates and any other relevant parties.
- Provide company secretarial support & comply with the requirements applicable to companies in India.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and affiliate entities, external lawyers and other parties on legal matters
- Collaborate closely with Legal and other functional teams in India, Legal function for Asia Pacific, international legal and business functions in other regions and other local legal units within the branches and subsidiaries of Companies.
- Be an independent guardian and trusted business partner by providing commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical legal support and advice in a cost effective.
- Be proactive in the provision of legal consultancy services and guidance to business units on material legal developments with regards to a broad range of products, services and issues.
- Support group-wide projects, litigation matters, plan and support company local legal offices across India's management of legal issues and liaise and coordinate with external legal counsels acting as legal counsel for company.
- Support Head of Legal, India by engaging in global, regional and/or country initiatives, supervise and manage legal affairs in India, optimize internal and external legal resources.
