
This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively handle legal assignments end-to-end, visualize realistic timelines, maintain accuracy in documentation, and ensure seamless execution of all legal processes for its group companies, and the Trust. The incumbent should be able to escalate legal risks in a timely manner, coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external counsels, and ensure the smooth, compliant, and secure functioning of all legal and regulatory obligations. Preferable experience in securities laws will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, vetting, and negotiating legal and commercial documentation related to new projects, AMC, notices, replies, and HR-related agreements for , its group companies, and the Trust.
- Managing litigation matters.
- Attending matters before courts and tribunals.
- Preparing appeals, affidavits, petitions, and pleadings for filing, and coordinating with advocates, solicitors, senior counsels, and operational departments to ensure compliance with court requirements.
- Providing opinion and rendering advisory work to various stakeholders within the organization.
- Providing legal support to transactional matters of the organization
- Regularly interacting with various regulatory agencies like SEBI
- Protecting the intellectual property rights of the organization by ensuring registration and initiating necessary proceeding in case of passing off / infringement.
- Supervise and ensure that requisite repository is maintained.
- Provide legal guidance to regulatory and other teams of the organization
- To monitor legal risks and take mitigating measures to reduce the same.
Adoption of technology to provide timely and efficient legal services.
- Supervising MIS and ISO compliance, including tasks such as preparing departmental notes and executing amendments to Rules, Byelaws, and Regulations.
- Conducting research and providing inputs on consultation papers or proposed policy matters.
- Filing claims, initiating recovery proceedings, and drafting replies to legal notices.
- LLB or LLM
- 12+ years of relevant legal experience.
- Preferable experience in securities laws.
- Preferred MII / listed company exp
