Job Title: Senior HR Business Partner

Function: Human Resources

Experience: 15+ years

Location: Mumbai

Role Purpose:

To serve as a strategic HR advisor to business leaders, driving HR initiatives that enhance employee performance, capability, and organizational commitment. This role will lead end-to-end HR Business Partnering for assigned business units, aligning HR strategy with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Partnership

- Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on HR matters, leveraging deep understanding of business needs to shape HR solutions.

- Guide managers in resolving complex HR issues and fostering a high-performance culture.

- Reinforce organizational values and value proposition at all employee touchpoints.

Talent & Performance Management

- Drive core HR processes: Compensation Planning, Performance Appraisal (Goal Setting, Mid-Year/Year-End Reviews), Talent Management, and Succession Planning.

- Partner with managers to identify career development opportunities aligned with employee aspirations.

- Lead Talent Management and Advancement initiatives for assigned business units.

Employee Engagement & Development

- Design and implement employee engagement strategies tailored to business needs.

- Identify training needs, collaborate with L&D to deliver development programs, and facilitate team-building initiatives.

- Ensure clear communication and consistent application of HR policies/practices across units.

Data-Driven HR Leadership

- Analyze HR data (attrition, performance, compensation) to generate actionable insights for decision-making.

- Monitor industry/competitor trends to inform retention strategies and proactive talent interventions.

Operational Excellence

- Support recruitment teams in hiring for assigned units, ensuring alignment with talent needs.

- Manage Employee Relations cases (disciplinary actions, grievances, compliance breaches) in partnership with Legal/Compliance teams.

- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive data with discretion.

Qualifications & Competencies:

Education & Experience

- MBA or Postgraduate degree in Human Resources (preferred).

- 15+ years in HR, with significant experience as an HR Business Partner in multinational organizations.

- Proven track record of advising senior leadership and managing stakeholders in matrixed environments.

Skills & Capabilities

- Strategic Advisor: Ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.

- Data Proficiency: Expertise in HR analytics, advanced MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables), and PowerPoint for executive presentations.

- Employee Relations: Experience resolving complex ER cases and mitigating risk.

- Communication: Exceptional written/verbal skills; adept at influencing and building trust.

- Global Mindset: Experience collaborating with international stakeholders.
