VP - FINANCE (focus on Financial Planning & Analysis)

JOB SUMMARY:
- Responsible & accountable for the, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
- Good team player with sound knowledge on Taxes, GST, and Compliance, banking transactions, cash flow management, legal compliance, balance sheet preparation.
- Qualified CA, Ideal candidate should have minimum 16+ years of experience.
- Reporting to CEO

10. Tax planning in JD / project matters in the areas of income tax & GST
Key Areas
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Financial Planning - Align the Financial Management with short and long-term business and financial planning and projections.
- Advise on the financial implications of strategic management decisions and establishing the financial soundness of proposed acquisitions and divestment of assets or businesses, and proposed joint ventures and partnerships.
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
- Oversee cash investments and all banking accounts management.
- Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operations and business plans.
- Review the Internal Audit Reports and ensure compliance to the audit observations on a regular basis.
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for board of directors.
- Coordinate financial planning and budget management functions including the overall tax planning of the group companies, funds mobilization, and deployment with optimal ROI for the group.
- Analyze the company's present financial condition and decide how to invest the company's funds, taking into consideration risk and liquidity.
- Oversee the capital structure of the company, determining the best mix of debt, equity and internal financing.
- Identify and report what areas of a company are most efficient and how the company can capitalize on this information.
- Liaise with other business heads for preparation of 3 years' business plan for onward presentation to the Board of Directors.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. Regular liaison with the auditors, company secretary, VAT, Service Tax, Income Tax and taxation authorities.
Financial & Accounts Operations - Provide all operational and strategic recommendations to the Chairman based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
- Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.
- Participate in corporate policy development as member of the senior management team.
- Lead and oversee the establishment & running of financial/accounting systems, inclusive of procedures and practices in line with local and international requirements.
- Represent the company to financial partners including financial institutions, banks, investors, auditors and various statutory bodies of the government.
- Develop financial plans and forecasts based on the approved business plan and budgets.
- Monitor the budget to the actual on a regular basis and provide structured MIS, Unaudited financials for all group companies (at monthly, quarterly & yearly rests).
- Assist in ensuring P/L targets are being achieved or exceeded within businesses that we operate. Anticipate negative or positive impact on business targets and proactively suggest solutions, make adjustments to forecasts.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts for the whole Organization so as to provide clear insight into its financial condition enabling high quality and agile decision making.
- Presenting and reporting accurate and timely historical financial information of the Organization.
- Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for planned (fixed and variable), existing projects, and proposed new projects.
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance through Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget.
- Implement policies to ensure the security of funds & assets.
Accounting & Administration - Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.
- Supervise the finance department staff.
- Assist in establishing short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
- Serve as primary government liaison related to all the financial issues (statutory & compliance).
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with group's approved business plan.
- Develop and manage direct staff, including managers in finance department, guide larger multi-disciplinary teams outside of direct span of control. Provide guidance on retention of key team members in the finance department.
- Ensure that the profits of the organization are protected through the establishment of effective budgetary controls and expenditure procedures.
- Provide guidance in the lodgment of tax and other returns to comply with all country's statutory requirements.
- Ensure appropriate training and development is offered to finance and accounting staff to raise their understanding of financial management.
- Control over all units UFC by way of MIS, systems and accounting matters to align with accountability area.
QUALIFICATIONS Qualified CA
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Min 16 years experience in finance & accounts functions for a large company/firm with a 7 years' experience in similar capacity
- Must be from Residential Developer company
