You will work closely with the CEO, Board, and Country Heads to shape the organisations financial strategy, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance in complex multi-country environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Set and drive the financial vision for the Africa business.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Partner with leadership to build high-growth, profitable market strategies.
2. Business Finance & Commercial Performance
- Oversee P&L across African markets and ensure sustainable revenue growth.
- Build strong financial frameworks for pricing, margins, credit, distributor terms, and product mix.
- Support commercial teams with analytics, market insights, and performance improvement plans.
3. Controllership, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory guidelines in each African country.
- Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and financial controls across multiple geographies.
- Oversee treasury, cash-flow planning, working capital optimization, and currency risk management.
4. Cross-Border Operations & Risk Management
- Manage multi-country financial operations, including entity structuring, tax planning, and repatriation.
- Build frameworks for managing credit risk, FX fluctuations, and regulatory uncertainty.
- Ensure smooth coordination between India HQ and Africa operations.
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor finance teams across Africa.
- Build robust local finance capabilities and succession plans.
- Create high-performance culture, strong governance, and consistent reporting standards.
Must-Have Experience
- 15 - 25 years of total finance experience, with minimum 5 - 8 years in Africa markets
- Strong background in Pharma / Healthcare / Consumer Health
- Proven expertise in:
- P&L leadership
- Distributor-driven markets
- Treasury & FX
- Pricing & margins
- Multi-country compliance
