Experience: 10-15 Years of post qualification experience (Significant experience in Top Marketplace/Retail Firms)

The Role:

We are seeking a VP of Finance who is not just a controller, but a strategic business partner. One should come from a background of Top Marketplace or Retail firms (e.g., Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, or major D2C brands) where they have managed complex P&Ls, high-velocity inventory, and regulatory intricacies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic P&L Ownership & Financial Control:

- Take full ownership of the company P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management.

- Drive end-to-end financial planning and analysis (FP&A), providing visibility into unit economics and profitability at the SKU level.

- Manage end-to-end statutory and internal audits, ensuring 100% clean reporting and strict adherence to timelines.

2. Retail Compliance & GST Strategy:

- Navigate the complexities of Indian retail taxation. specifically the GST complications inherent in the luggage, textile, and manufacturing sectors.

- Ensure seamless compliance across multiple states and warehouses, handling E-way bills, input tax credits, and reconciliation with zero error margin.

- Take care of the monthly, quarterly and yearly filings with respect to Direct and Indirect taxation, also ensure RBI compliance with respect to FDI.

3. Inventory & Working Capital Management:

- Oversee financial controls for Inventory Management. You must understand the cash flow implications of stock cycles, aging inventory, and warehousing costs.

- Partner with the operations team to optimize working capital, ensuring capital is not locked efficiently in slow-moving SKUs.

- Help build control and processes around the company's various business channels and ensure bank reconciliations with sales.

4. Leadership & Team Management:

- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team.

- Key Indicator: We look for candidates who have managed substantial teams in the past and have a track record of grooming managers and analysts under them. Individuals with hands on approach and eye for details are preferred.

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualification:

- Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) (Non-negotiable)

- CS (Company Secretary) certification is a massive plus (+) change and highly preferred for handling corporate governance and compliance.

Background:

- Previous experience as a CFO, VP Finance, or Senior Director in a top-tier Marketplace, E-commerce, or Retail brand.

- Demonstrated ability to handle the "messiness" of retail financereturns, reconciliations, and logistics costs.

Skills:

- Strong grip on regulatory compliance and corporate law.

- Hands on.

- Good communication skill and deep understanding of Accounting Standards.
