ABOUT THE COMPANY:


The Company is a Profitable EdTech B2B Org based out of Mumbai. The company became EBIDTA+ in the year 2024 with a revenue of 350cr and PAT in the concluding year. Companies Current ARR is 415cr which is a 30% increase in revenue just by subscription plus there has been a strong addition of new clients every year. The Company has 5000+ Schools as their clients and plans to add another 3000 Schools by the year of 2027. India has 13lac plus Schools, the scope of growth just from Schools in India itself is enormous.


Unlike B2C Edtech org's like Byjus, the company has stayed away from B2C, write from their inception in the year 2017. With 1800+ employees across India, the companies Solutions include technological product to enhance the quality of learning in Schools.


ABOUT THE ROLE:


- The role will be pivotal in driving the digitization and transformation of the finance function, ensuring robust financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and seamless finance operations. It requires strong financial acumen, strategic leadership, and deep expertise in accounting, financial systems, risk management, and technology adoption.


- The person will lead financial reporting and compliance, oversee audits and tax matters, and champion the automation of core financial processes using advanced digital tools and AI solutions. As a key transformation leader, the incumbent will collaborate with business stakeholders to align financial strategies with organizational goals, leveraging data analytics and intelligent automation.


- Additionally, this leader will focus on building and mentoring a forward-thinking, high-performing finance team equipped to excel in a digital-first environment.


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

Experience:


- 10-15 years of experience in financial control, reporting, finance operations and compliance


- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills


- Tech first companies, startups or high growth companies (Amazon, Meesho, Dream11 or any of the new age companies)


- Earlier experience with Big 4


- Should have done Finance Ops roles


- Should have show strong systems thinking


- Strong communication skills and ability to influence business on policies and operations


- Should have worked with Tech teams to design systems


- This is just not a reporting role but the candidate will be involved in Growth and Revenue


Educational Background: Chartered Accountant (CA First Attempt) qualification is mandatory from any batch in the year's: 2009-2015


Technical & Functional Skills:

- Strong business thinking skills


- Strong systems thinking i.e. ability to think how a problem can be solved at a systemic level


- Simple thinker i.e. sets simple processes to solve complex business problems


- Ability to think business and customer backwards


- Strong technical accounting Audit & Statutory Compliance / Managing external audits


- Taxation (Direct & Indirect): stature to deal with tax officials


- Ability to design and implement policies across business areas.


- Ability to run strong Finance operations - receivables, payables, credit policies, and DSO/ DPO optimization.


- Tech-first and AI-first systems and process thinking


- Strong written and spoken communication skills. Can communicate listener backwards


- Strong whole to parts thinking. Can start with goal and explain how to get to goals


- Ability to hire and build a strong team independently


- Ability to work directly with business leaders without coaching/oversight from CFO


- Potential to rise to CFO in 4-5 years in the Company. Strong executive presence


WHAT YOU'LL DO?

- Lead the financial reporting and control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with IGAAP/Ind AS.


- Oversee month-end and year-end financial close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.


- Manage statutory, internal, and external audits; ensure alignment with regulatory standards and best practices.


- Drive compliance with tax regulations including GST, Income Tax, FEMA, and other applicable laws.


- Oversee treasury, banking, and financing operations to optimize cash flow and working capital.


- Implement robust financial processes, SOPs, and internal controls to drive efficiency and reduce risk.


- Champion automation initiatives & process improvements across finance functions.


- Collaborate with business leaders to align financial planning with company goals.


- Monitor key financial KPIs and provide strategic insights to senior management.


- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing finance team.


- Ensure a focus on simplification, ease of doing business, and internal customer delight.
