VP - Finance (CA)

Role Overview :

As the VP - Finance, you will be a pivotal leader, steering the financial strategy and operations of our dynamic organization. This role demands a Chartered Accountant with a strong strategic mindset, capable of driving financial performance, ensuring robust compliance, and providing critical insights to the executive leadership team. You will be instrumental in shaping our financial future, managing capital allocation, overseeing financial reporting, and building a high-performing finance function. Your day-to-day will involve leading strategic financial planning, managing treasury operations, optimizing financial processes, and providing comprehensive financial analysis to support key business decisions. You will collaborate closely with the CEO, other C-suite executives, business unit heads, and external stakeholders such as auditors and investors, directly impacting our growth trajectory, profitability, and long-term financial health.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the strategic financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, developing robust budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for the executive team to inform strategic decision-making and achieve aggressive growth targets.

- Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP/IFRS, for internal stakeholders, board members, and regulatory bodies.

- Manage treasury and cash flow operations, optimizing working capital, managing foreign exchange exposure, and ensuring adequate liquidity to support business operations and strategic investments.

- Develop and implement strong internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks across the organization to safeguard assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance operational efficiency.

- Drive financial due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, providing critical financial insights to facilitate successful business expansion.

- Cultivate and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional development to ensure departmental capabilities align with organizational goals.

- Act as a key liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial institutions, managing relationships and ensuring seamless financial operations and compliance.

- Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the leadership team on business performance, investment opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives to drive profitability and sustainable growth.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, with a proven track record of driving financial performance in complex environments.

- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance function.

- Strong command over financial reporting standards (Indian GAAP/IFRS), taxation, treasury management, and internal control frameworks.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights for senior leadership.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, external partners, and presentation to board members and investors.

- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory, complemented by 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably within a fast-paced industry.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience while working on-site from our Gurgaon/Gurugram office.
