About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned finance leader for a high-growth VC funded startup. The role will work closely with the founders and leadership team to drive financial strategy, governance, fundraising readiness, and scalable finance operations during a critical growth phase.

This is an opportunity to build and lead the finance function in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall finance and accounts function including controllership, compliance, taxation, treasury, FP&A, and audit

- Drive budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and business performance analysis

- Partner with founders and investors on strategic financial planning and decision making

- Manage investor reporting, board presentations, and due diligence processes

- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and risk management frameworks

- Lead cash flow planning and working capital management

- Drive automation and process improvements across finance operations

- Manage statutory compliance including direct and indirect taxation, audits, and regulatory filings

- Support fundraising activities including financial modeling and data room management

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Qualified CA is mandatory

- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience

- Prior experience with VC funded startups, high-growth companies, or new-age businesses preferred

- Strong understanding of financial planning, controllership, compliance, and investor management

- Experience handling audits, due diligence, and fundraising processes

- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment

- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

Preferred Background

Candidates from technology, consumer internet, SaaS, fintech, ecommerce, D2C, or digital-first businesses will be preferred.
