- We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Vice President - Engineering & Technical Operations to lead our engineering, project execution, and technical services functions. This strategic role will drive manufacturing capability enhancement, CAPEX project execution, and technical compliance across multi-site pharmaceutical operations.
- The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering and technical operations teams across sites
- Define and drive the engineering vision aligned with corporate objectives
- Provide leadership to senior engineers and project managers; promote a high-performance culture
- Partner with executive leadership to drive technological innovation and operational excellence
Project Execution & Capital Projects (CAPEX):
- Oversee large-scale greenfield/brownfield engineering projects and facility expansions
- Ensure time-bound, cost-effective delivery of projects with regulatory compliance
- Implement best-in-class project governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder reporting
Technical Operations & Process Optimization:
- Drive process design, scale-up, and optimization in line with GMP and quality standards
- Lead initiatives for automation, maintenance efficiency, and technology upgradation
- Collaborate with R&D and QA/QC for new product tech transfer and compliance
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all engineering activities align with GMP, FDA, EMA, and other regulatory frameworks
- Lead compliance audits and readiness across plants
- Build a culture of risk awareness and proactive quality adherence
Cost Control & Efficiency:
- Own the engineering and projects budget and ensure optimal resource allocation
- Drive cost reduction, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Champion energy efficiency and sustainability in all engineering practices
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Educational Background - B.E. / B.Tech Chemical
- Master's degree or MBA is preferred
Professional Experience:
- 15+ years in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments
- Minimum 5 years in senior leadership roles managing engineering/project operations
- Proven experience in leading multi-plant CAPEX projects and tech operations
- Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance (GMP, FDA, EMA) and lean methodologies
Leadership Attributes:
- Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership style
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in automation/digital tech in manufacturing is a plus
