Qualification: Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of post-qualification experience

Experience:

- Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience.

- Preferably financial accounting and closing experience in Banking, NBFC or fintech OR substantial accounting or group reporting exposures within Global Capability Centre (GCC) of MNCs OR substantial assurance exposure within major audit firms.

- Proficiency in Accounting Standards issued by ICAI and/or IFRS.

Job Description:

- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Oversee audits of financial accounts and related reporting activities.

- Demonstrate expertise in IFRS, including Expected Credit Loss (ECL), Effective Interest Rate (EIR) computations, Lease Accounting, Group Reporting as well as associated disclosures.

- Manage group reporting processes, with a focus on IFRS or US GAAP frameworks.

- Ensure timely month-end closure of books and maintain ownership of General Ledger (GL) balances.

- Execute month-end and intra-month provisioning, along with other necessary accounting entries.

- Consolidate financial accounts and prepare disclosures for regulators, exchanges, and both internal and external stakeholders.

- Document and periodically review key processes and controls related to financial reporting.

- Prepare, update, and review the Banks accounting policies to ensure alignment with the latest guidance from ICAI, RBI, SEBI, and MCA.

- Drive system enhancements, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), User Acceptance Testing (UATs), and improvements related to Core Banking System (CBS) accounts, trial balances, and financial reporting.

- Design and implement accounting entries for new system products.

- Strengthen internal financial controls and reinforce a robust control framework across all processes.

- Collaborate actively with other functional and business teams to determine appropriate accounting treatments for new transactions and operational arrangements.

- Proven leadership skills with the capacity to manage and motivate teams effectively.
