Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Reporting To: Managing Director (MD)

Role Overview:

Company is looking for an experienced banking and corporate finance professional to lead the Group's banking function and formulate funding strategies for its upcoming expansion projects. The incumbent will manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, structure and execute financing arrangements, and ensure compliance with all banking and security-related requirements, working closely with the existing finance team. This role reports directly to the Managing Director (MD).

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the Group's banking and corporate finance function.

- Develop and implement funding strategies for upcoming expansion and capital expenditure projects.

- Evaluate, structure and arrange project finance, term loans, working-capital facilities and other suitable debt instruments.

- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, rating agencies and other funding partners.

- Negotiate interest rates, commercial terms, financial covenants, security packages and documentation.

- Coordinate the entire financing process, including appraisal, sanction, documentation, disbursement and renewal of banking facilities.

- Ensure timely compliance with sanction terms, financial covenants, lender reporting requirements and other bank-related obligations.

- Oversee the creation, perfection, modification and release of securities and charges in coordination with the legal, secretarial and finance teams.

- Monitor borrowing costs, utilisation of banking limits, debt maturity profiles and refinancing opportunities.

- Coordinate lender due diligence, stock audits, asset audits, credit-rating exercises and financial submissions required by banks.

- Prepare funding proposals, financial analyses and regular updates for senior management.

- Establish appropriate internal controls and documentation standards for banking, borrowing and security compliance.

- Work closely with and guide the existing finance team.

Candidate Profile:

- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, project finance, debt raising, treasury or corporate finance.

- Experience in independently raising and managing large working-capital and long-term debt facilities.

- Strong understanding of banking documentation, financial covenants, security creation and lender compliance.

- Established relationships with banks and financial institutions.

- Strong financial analysis, negotiation, decision-making and stakeholder-management skills.

- Prior experience in the steel, power, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure or related sectors would be preferred.

- CA is mandatory; an additional MBA in Finance or another relevant professional qualification would be a plus.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong ownership, commercial judgement, confidentiality and the ability to work effectively in a promoter-led, growth-oriented organization.
