Vertical Head- Accounts Payable

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Team Head - Accounts Payable will be responsible for managing all activities of the Accounts Payable (AP) tower. Team Head - Accounts Payable will play both strategic and operational roles in managing the AP tower. As part of their strategic role, Team Head- Accounts Payable will develop and implement payment strategies, processes, technologies, reporting frameworks, and explore opportunities for continual improvements & automation to enhance productivity. Operational responsibilities involve supervising subordinates, enhancing productivity, risk/compliance management, liaising with other towers, and interfacing Head/RO/Operations Team. Develop teams for broader roles within P2P.

KRA's would be:

- Implement Accounts Payable tower objectives in line with business strategy

- Support development and short-term plans

- Implement/set procedures and work programs as well as execute agreed plans, programs and initiatives to improve tower performance and level of productivity, manage risk & ensure compliances.

- Monitor tower's performance against pre-set KPI's and targets to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/corrective actions are taken accordingly. Ensure on time payment performance

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Essential Qualification : CA/CMA with Experience of working in Shared Service Environment. Accounting Knowledge.

Desirable Qualification : Oracle, SAP, BaaN knowledge would be preferred.

Experience : 10-12 Years

Products to be handle : Should have P2P vertical experience with large team management.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES OF THE JOB

Core knowledge of accounting & more particularly P2P experience. Technology awareness. Advanced Excel Knowledge. Must have relevant experience in working with Shared Service Centre/Manufacturing Concern.

Experience of handling team of 7-8 people.

EXPERIENCE/ EXPOSURE

Relevant knowledge in Accounting/P2P & Shared Service Centre practical experience.
