Job Title: DGM / Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Role Overview:
The Senior Manager FP&A is expected to contribute to the financial planning and analysis function for a renewable energy organization, focusing on strategic financial planning, project evaluation, and performance management. This role requires expertise in energy economics, regulatory frameworks, and investment analysis to support sustainable growth and profitability. Strong knowledge on financial models, valuation metrics, ERP frameworks is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Drive annual budgeting and long-term financial planning for renewable energy projects and corporate operations.
- Develop robust financial models for project feasibility, tariff structures, and regulatory impacts.
Forecasting & Performance Management:
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for revenue, generation, O&M & SG&A costs.
- Analyse variances and recommend actions to improve profitability and project ROI.
Investment & Project Analysis:
- Evaluate new projects, PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), and M&A opportunities.
- Conduct scenario modelling for energy pricing, carbon credits, and government incentives.
Reporting & Insights:
- Prepare executive-level presentations for leadership and investors, highlighting project performance and market trends.
- Implement automation and efficiency in reporting using Advanced Excel/BI tools and renewable energy-specific metrics.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and mentor FP&A team members.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, commercial, projects and regulatory teams to align financial goals with sustainability objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: MBA, CA, CFA preferred; specialization in energy finance is a plus.
- Experience: 8 - 12 years in FP&A or corporate finance, with at least 3-5 years in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced financial modelling and analytics.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with renewable energy regulations, tariffs, and incentive schemes.
Leadership Skills:
- Strong communication and influencing abilities.
- Proven track record of managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
