UPL - Lead - Financial Planning & Analysis/Central MIS

Job Title : FP&A & C Lead Central MIS

Location : Thane

Reporting to : Global Head - FP&A & Consolidation

Role Purpose :

Lead and drive the Groups Central FP&A and MIS function, responsible for delivering high-quality financial planning, analytics, and management insights to support strategic decision-making at Group CFO and leadership levels. The role will act as a single point of ownership for FP&A processes, MIS governance, and analytics transformation, ensuring standardization, automation, and high-quality insight generation across all regions and platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

1. FP&A Leadership & Governance :

- Lead Central MIS team to ensure timely delivery of all monthly, quarterly and yearly deliverables, consolidation of Budget, Forecast, and Long Range Planning.

- Ensure strong governance, timelines, and alignment with Group assumptions.

- Establish robust connect with regions and platforms.

- Act as key FP&A business partner to Group CFO.

2. Central MIS Ownership & Excellence :

- Own end-to-end Group MIS delivery (monthly / quarterly performance).

- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting.

- Drive standardised MIS formats, KPIs, and definitions across entities.

- Enhance quality of management reporting with sharper insights and narratives.

3. Performance Analytics & Decision Support :

- Lead variance analysis, driver-based insights, and profitability analytics.

- Provide actionable recommendations on revenue, margin, and cost performance.

Support CFO and leadership with :

1. Strategic reviews.

2. Board-level analytics.

3. Business case evaluations.

4. FP&A Transformation & Digitisation :

- Drive transformation from Excel-based processes to system-driven FP&A (SAC / BI tools).

- Lead automation initiatives across planning, reporting, and analytics.

- Partner with IT / GBS on data architecture and reporting pipelines.

- Implement advanced analytics (predictive forecasting / scenario modelling).

5. Data Governance & Control :

- Establish strong data governance framework across regions and platforms.

- Ensure data consistency, validation controls, and reconciliation discipline.

- Work closely with Controllers / GBS to enhance data quality.

- Embed audit-ready processes in FP&A workflows.

6. Stakeholder Management & Alignment :

- Collaborate closely with Regional & Platform Controllers, Business Finance teams, and IT / GBS / Data teams.

- Act as bridge between Central FP&A and business teams.

- Drive alignment on assumptions, outputs, and insights.

7. Team Leadership & Capability Building :

- Lead and manage Central MIS & FP&A team.

- Build next line of leadership and strengthen team capability.

- Drive performance culture, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience :

- MBA Finance / CMA / CA.

- 15 years of experience in FP&A / Business Finance.

- Strong exposure to multi-country, central FP&A environments.

- Experience in leading teams and managing stakeholders globally.
