Landscape KEC & SME Manager  Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job :   - Unilever has four large and complex landscapes and a number of global applications. Furthermore new functionality is added continuouslythrough project initiatives. Therefore, the complexity and the dependency between the system components are growing.  - Unilever serves highly competitive markets. Fast deployment of new software releases and functions is critical to support the business needs.  - Within this context, Unilever Europe covers 1/3rd of the 53 billion Euro business with 23 countries supported by a single ERP (Sirius) and its ERP surround applications. These support critical business operations ( Supply chain, finance, customer service)  - Resilience of IT operations is hence a key objective.  - Apart from that, continuously innovating on top of the existing platform is also key.  For Sirius resilience, there is a need to :   - Ensure technical landscape management is proactively done  - This includes upgrades or KEC (Keep the environment current) activities for portfolio of applications and modules around ERP ( largely SAP)  Performance management :   - This focuses on proactive health checks as well as eliminating root causes of performance issues by design. This will include working on custom code quality and simplification as well as joined up working with SAP infrastructure teams as well.  - Ensure Landscape security and compliance  - Ensure landscape archiving is full coverage and efficiency thereby reducing the exponential growth of database sizes that impacts cost, performance and resilience.  - Ensure a resilient technical architecture ( jointly with SAP shared infrastructure team)  - Ensure proactive landscape planning ( in light of  For innovating on top of Sirius, there is a need to :   - Ensure reliable solutions by design and have design authority over core components.  - All changes introduced are with quality, cost efficient and consistent with long-term strategy and align with our roadmap. ( On time, in full, nil error, low cost)  Hence, apart from managing KEC and Performance as a horizontal, this role will lead and guide a team of 2-3 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in a particular functional area ( Supply Chain or Finance)  Main Accountabilities :   - Accountabilities for Sirius Resilience and KEC (Keep the environment current)  - Own, plan, manage KEC aspects of the ERP landscape-   - Coordinates KEC roadmap planning activities with relevant functional teams  - Works closely with landscape release management team, global teams on other components like EBI, CRM, and OTM and so on and builds KEC release calendar.  - Manage ERP KEC projects and budgets and drive select KEC on own and in bigger KEC like ECC upgrade - driving this as a horizontal with functional SMEs driving KEC for their areas.  - Drive health checks and remediation  - Focus on proactive initiatives for performance, archiving   Accountabilities for Compliance (including SOX) :   - Be a SPOC for compliance matters of the landscape, plan and follow up internal and external audit processes, coordinate resolutionof issues with all teams.  - Act as SOX IT process owner for the landscape.  - Work with risk and compliance teams on internal and external audit plans and processes.  - Ensure SAP security baseline standards are implemented on the landscape.   Accountabilities for innovating on top of Sirius :   - All changes introduced are with quality, cost efficient and consistent with long-term strategy and align with our roadmap. ( On time, in full, nil error, low cost)  - Drive program delivery cost down in line with targets  - Drive proactive KEC and resilience in specific function as design authority ( e. long running programs with performance issue, archiving in own functional area and so on)  - Be the design authority for the select functional area, build internal technical expertise with SMEs   - Enhance capability and speed of innovation ; land new IT strategy - Agile  Direct Reports Key Interfaces :   - KEC Managers, SMEs and Technical landscape planning team - AM, Enterprise Basis& infrastructure  - ALM, Technical Shared Services  - Global Functional landscapes  - Business engagement  - Change and Release Management   Critical success Factors for the Job :   Key Skills Relevant Experience :   - Project management experience of significant sized and complex SAP projects, with a proven track record of delivery.   - Proven experience in driving service improvement programs in large global organizations.   - Deep expertise in 1-2 SAP modules- with BASIS technical exposure preferred.  - Experience of managing teams (possible across multiple locations).   - Appreciation of IT systems landscapes and impact of architecture decisions on quality and delivery.   Should have handled both project delivery and technical support / upgrades in core SAP in large environments  - Strong networking and consulting skills  - Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills  - Team leadership and management   - Ability to work effectively in complex matrix organisations involving outsourced operations.  - Deep understanding of application development methodology, techniques and standards.   - Project management and delivery processes Leadership Position in large SAP programs preferably in internal IT set up of large multi-national organizations  or  - Senior position and experience in large IT organizations, supporting clients with a similar set up - viz large SAP footprint  - Delivering projects and programs in SAP as well as technical support ( upgrades, performance) and strategy roadmap
