
WE ARE HIRING - Manager / Deputy Manager, Legal
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager / Deputy Manager - Legal to lead and strengthen our legal and compliance functions. You will serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership, manage complex legal matters, and support business objectives through proactive legal guidance and risk mitigation. You'll also help build robust legal processes and lead compliance efforts across the organization.
What You Will Do:
Leadership & Strategic Counsel:
- Act as a strategic legal partner to senior leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
- Identify legal risks and craft mitigation strategies that align with business goals.
Contracting & Documentation:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, playbooks, and best practices for documentation.
Compliance & Regulatory:
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across the organization.
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary updates for compliance readiness.
Dispute Resolution & External Counsel:
- Oversee dispute resolution and litigation matters.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when needed and represent the company's legal interests in negotiations and forums.
Governance, Policies & Training:
- Develop and implement corporate governance practices, legal policies, and internal controls.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions on compliance and legal risk matters.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior legal/compliance team members.
- Drive continuous improvement of legal processes, tools, and practices.
What We're Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); advanced degree (LLM) or equivalent a plus.
- Typically 5-6+ years of legal experience in corporate legal, compliance, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing legal functions and high-complexity matters.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and research skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with sound business orientation and risk assessment capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills. Indeed

- Experience in FinTech or other highly regulated sectors.
- Background in corporate governance, risk management, or compliance frameworks.
- Prior experience engaging with regulators or external counsel on complex legal matters.
