Transition VC - Fund Operations Associate

Role Overview:

As a Fund Operations Associate, you will serve as the backbone of our investment operations, ensuring the seamless execution and oversight of complex financial transactions. You will manage the end-to-end trade life cycle, working closely with portfolio managers, custodians, and external fund administrators to maintain operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily trade operations and settlements to ensure timely completion of transactions across various asset classes, minimizing exposure to settlement risk.

- Execute comprehensive reconciliation processes between internal records and custodian statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Manage end-to-end corporate action processing, ensuring that all entitlements are accurately captured and reflected in the fund's net asset value.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external fund administrators to streamline reporting workflows and improve the quality of investor communications.

- Monitor the full trade life cycle, from initial execution to final settlement, to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

- Support the broader investment team by providing accurate operational data, which facilitates informed decision-making and enhances overall business outcomes.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in fund administration and trade operations, with a deep understanding of the nuances involved in managing diverse investment portfolios.

- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and corporate actions, ensuring high levels of precision in high-pressure environments.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, including senior stakeholders and external partners.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, allowing for the proactive identification and resolution of operational bottlenecks.

- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience within investment banking operations or asset management firms.

- Academic background in Finance, Economics, or a related field, complemented by a professional certification such as CFA or CA.

- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, maintaining high productivity and clear communication while collaborating with distributed teams in Bangalore.
