Manager Industrial Relations & Admin

Role Overview:

- The Manager Industrial Relations & Admin is a senior leadership position requiring 10 to 14 years of specialized experience in Industrial Relations, HR, and Administration.

- The incumbent will be responsible for executing the Industrial Relations strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.

- Required qualifications include MBA-HR, /MLS / MSW-Personnel Management, with an LLB desirable. This is an on-site role based in Mahape.

Job Summary:

- We are seeking a strategic and experienced Manager to lead the Industrial Relations and Administration functions. This role is crucial for maintaining harmonious labor relations, ensuring 100% compliance with all statutory labor laws and new labor codes, and managing contract labor.


- The successful candidate will possess expertise in collective bargaining, handling multiple labor unions, disciplinary matters, and coordinating with various statutory bodies (PCB, MIDC, Municipal Corporations) while fostering high levels of employee engagement and ethical conduct.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Strategic Industrial Relations & Employee Management:

- Be responsible for executing Industrial Relations strategy in support of the overall business plan.

- Proactively forecast future industrial relations challenges, trend and conduct risk Analysis to mitigate potential disputes.

- Ensure mutual collaboration between the top management level and union members.

- Understand and resolve problems which can affect productivity and address issues related to misconduct and poor performance.

- Manage employee engagement by Communicating effectively and managing Associates through motivation and recognition.

- Assist with case investigation when necessary, document results and suggest recommended actions related to Discipline and misconduct.

Collective Bargaining & Compensation Support:

- Participate in the collective bargaining processes including defining terms and conducting cost analysis to ensure the most favorable solutions.

- Support the Total Rewards team to review, plan, and rollout new salary structures & HR policies basis changes in labor codes.

Statutory Compliance and Liaising:

- Ensure all Associate related statutory compliances are met, including EPF, ESIC, LWF, Labour Act & Factories Act to be complied.

- Manage regulatory Compliances u/r Pollution Control Board (PCB), Industrial Development Corporations (MIDC), Municipal Corporations, and other local statutory bodies.

- Drive and implement various government initiatives/schemes with regards to labor & employment.

- Expertly manage Stakeholder Management across Business, Local Authorities, Statutory Bodies, and Peer Group, including effective Liasoning.

Manpower & Contract Labour Management:

- Oversee Manpower Management and planning in alignment with business requirements.

- Manage and ensure full compliance in Contract Labour Engagement & Management processes.

Experience: 10 to 14 Years of relevant experience.

- Education: MBA-HR, /MLS / MSW-Personnel Management.

- Legal Expertise: Expertise in all labor laws and the new labor codes.

- Industrial Relations: Ability to deal with multiple labor unions and execute the IR strategy.

- Management: Proven experience in Contract labor management team oversight and managing senior leadership expectations (Stakeholder Management).

- Skills: Strategic thinking, Analytical ability with an eye for detail to analyze and understand compliance.

Preferred Skills:

- LLB (Bachelor of Laws) qualification is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated ability to Devise plans/programs for building strong labor relations.

- High levels of ethicality, ownership & accountability.

- Experience coordinating complex regulatory compliance with bodies like the Pollution Control Board.
