About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee the efficient, productive, and profitable functioning of our branch operations. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, extensive industry knowledge, and the ability to drive both operational excellence and business growth. The candidate will be responsible for full branch operations, including sales oversight, team management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise all branch operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable functioning.

- Oversee complete P&L ownership of the branch, ensuring financial targets are achieved.

- Handle branch sales and operations with a strong understanding of ocean freight forwarding.

- Drive business development for FCL/LCL and achieve sales targets through strategic planning.

- Supervise and guide teams in day-to-day operations, ensuring high productivity and adherence to company standards.

- Hire, train, mentor, and, when necessary, manage employee exits in line with HR policies.

- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial and operational reporting to management.

- Oversee customs clearance activities; candidates with prior customs clearance experience will be preferred.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and company guidelines across all branch functions.

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support business retention and growth.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a mid-size Indian logistics company.

- Strong knowledge of ocean freight forwarding (FCL/LCL).

- Experience in customs clearance is preferred.

- Proven experience in handling branch operations and sales.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and lead teams.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of branch performance.
