Sales Lead Assam Packaged Tea Distribution
Base Location: Guwahati (preferred; must cover Upper Assam, Lower Assam, and Barak Valley)
Reporting To: Jai Kejriwal
Objective: Strengthen and expand packaged tea distribution across Assam by managing our existing distributors, growing retail coverage, and ensuring smooth logistics and secondary sales execution.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our current distributors to increase volumes, expand outlet coverage, and streamline operations.
- Monitor distributor performance: billing efficiency, stock rotation, credit/claims hygiene.
- Ensure secondary sales growth: beat planning, field visits, SFA/DMS usage.
- Execute trade promotions, retail visibility drives, and promoter programs.
- Strengthen supply chain from Guwahati hub to other towns (Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Silchar, etc.).
- Conduct weekly market visits and monthly distributor review meetings.
Candidate Profile
Experience: 612 years in FMCG field sales/distribution in Assam.
Category Fit: Tea, beverages, packaged foods, or related FMCG.
Market Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Assam GT structure, distributors, and retailers.
Skills: Distributor management (not just appointment), sales planning, credit/claim handling, route-to-market.
Languages: Assamese + Hindi + English (Bengali is a plus).
