Territory Sales Manager


Position Summary:


The Territory Sales Manager for Lucknow will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and leading a high-performing sales team within the assigned geographical area.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:


- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and action plans specific to the Lucknow territory, aligned with overall company objectives.

- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the assigned territory.

- Conduct thorough market analysis, identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to refine sales approaches.

- Identify and capture new business opportunities within the territory to expand market share and customer base.

- Drive volumes and target achievement (segment-wise and product-wise) through the network and sales team.

Channel & Dealer Management:


- Oversee and manage existing channel partners, distributors, and dealers in the Lucknow territory.

- Identify and onboard new channel partners, distributors, and dealers to expand reach and coverage in white spaces.

- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and ethical standards among channel partners.

- Provide necessary training and support to channel partners to enhance their product knowledge and selling capabilities.

- Monitor stock availability and facilitate stock liquidation to avoid sales returns.

Team Leadership & Development:


- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives within the territory.

- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to the sales team, ensuring they meet and exceed individual and team targets.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for team members.

- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance sales culture.

Client Relationship Management:


- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key regional customers, local accounts, and potential clients.

- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring timely resolution.

- Engage with architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders (if applicable to industry) to generate project leads and build loyalty.

Reporting & Analysis:


- Provide accurate regional sales forecasts and actionable insights to leadership.

- Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales software to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and generate reports.

- Monitor and analyze sales results and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

- Prepare and present regular sales reports, market intelligence, and progress updates to the management.

Marketing & Brand Promotion:


- Support brand marketing activities in the territory, including BTL/ATL plan execution and review mechanisms.

- Organize market development activities, VIP farmer meetings, product demonstrations, and customer events (as applicable to industry).

- Create brand awareness within the assigned territory.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

- MBA is a plus.

- 6-8 years of progressive experience in field sales, territory management, or regional business development.

- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.

- Strong leadership and team management experience with the ability to motivate and guide a sales force.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both verbal and written).

- Proficiency in English and local language (Hindi) is essential.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and make data-driven decisions.

- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned Lucknow territory
