Job Title : General Manager/ Purchase Head - Purchase

Industry : Engineering / Manufacturing.

Education : Engineering background preferred.

ERP Knowledge : SAP (MM module preferred).

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and oversee group-level procurement strategy and operations across all units.

- Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

- Drive strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives.

- Ensure efficient implementation and use of SAP for procurement processes.

- Standardize procurement processes and policies across group companies.

- Handling purchasing team, spread with different units/ products.

- Collaborate closely with production, planning, stores, finance, and project teams.

- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.

- Ensure compliance with statutory, audit, and internal control requirements.

- Develop and mentor purchase teams across locations.

Key Requirements :

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing industries.

- Strong knowledge of SAP (especially MM module) and procurement best practices.

- Experience in managing multi-unit procurement operations.

- Experience in importing products.

- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.

- Track record of cost savings, vendor development, and process improvement.
