About the role:
The Talent and Development Partner is accountable for determining and architecting solutions that enable the desired learning capabilities, delivering in alignment with AstraZeneca's strategy, roadmap, principles and standards. He/she collaborates with many stakeholders and cross functional teams to deliver on the talent and development goals.
The role will ensure that common talent, learning and development decisions are implemented consistently across the business.
To be successful in this role the candidate needs to be an experienced professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with India and with global teams. The ability to work and communicate with senior business stakeholders to understand their functional goals, capabilities needed, and requirements and to translate these into comprehensive solution blueprints is essential.
A clear, logical style, an ability to document solutions and key design decisions in a blueprint, and to work closely with stakeholders, vendors and cross functional teams is essential. We are looking for an individual who has the strategic intent as well as strong execution capabilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Talent and Development Partner will play a key role in advancing the delivery of the Talent and Learning Strategy through driving talent reviews, succession planning, key talent programs, building fit for future skills and drive lifelong learning.
- This role will partner with the broader T&D team, HRBPs and business learners to meet the needs of the organization.
- This includes the program management of these initiatives, the evaluation of their impact and implementation of continuous improvements.
- There is an opportunity to make a huge difference in this role, working with a diverse group of leaders and talent from various Senior Executive Teams (SET) areas in India.
- The role will report to the Talent and Development Lead for AstraZeneca, India.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Initiate the annual training needs collection and roll out of annual training calendar for the site
- Lead the design, development and implementation of key programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet talent and learning needs of the organization;
- Drive the Talent Review process (succession planning and talent pipelining); coaching Managers on review process, facilitate the review and talent calibration discussion and ensure appropriate documentation
- Work with Global T&D to drive implementation, nomination and participation for global programs.
- Work with multiple stakeholders - learning champions, global T&D partners, HRBPs, leaders and managers and cross functional teams to drive the talent and learning agenda for the business
- Consulting with management, leadership, learning champions on learning and development and talent management matters.
- Recommending and implementing policies and procedures in the area of learning and development on a need basis.
- Evaluating and partnering with vendors to execute learning programs related to job skilling, professional skill development and leadership training.
- Evaluating program effectiveness and continuously improving learning solutions.
- Publish & Review Talent dashboard insights with leaders on a periodic basis.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Relevant degree in Human Resources or Equivalent
- 8-12 years of overall HR experience with minimum of 2+ years of exposure in Talent Management or Learning and Development portfolio
- Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated strong customer and stakeholder orientation
- Demonstrated taking initiatives and execution excellence
- Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills including working with cross-functional teams across geographies.
Preferred Experiences and Skills:
- Any certifications in Talent Management/Learning and Development
- Experience implementing global programs and ability to collaborate with global stakeholders
- Experience of developing and managing end to end talent and learning processes within the organization
- Evidence of shaping innovative learning solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organisation.
