Role: Area Manager (Full-Time, On-Site)
Location: Allahabad (or designated area)
The Area Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the operational excellence and growth of multiple microfinance branches within the assigned geographical area. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, robust team management, and a deep understanding of financial inclusion in rural markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Branch Managers and other field staff to foster a high-performance culture aligned with Svatantras mission and values.
- Conduct regular branch visits and meetings to monitor operational efficiency and provide on-the-ground support.
- Facilitate Training and Development programs for staff to enhance their skills and ensure continuous professional growth.
Business Strategy & Financial Performance:
- Develop and implement Business Strategies to achieve aggressive regional targets for loan disbursement, portfolio quality (PAR management), and customer acquisition.
- Monitor and analyze the Financial Performance of all branches in the area, taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain profitability and sustainability.
- Ensure strict adherence to organizational policies and regulatory guidelines in all branch operations, including KYC, loan processing, and collection practices.
Stakeholder & Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local government bodies, community leaders, and regulatory representatives.
- Champion a customer-centric approach to ensure high customer satisfaction and resolve any escalated issues promptly and effectively.
- Represent Svatantra Microfin in the local community to promote financial literacy and the company's initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Mandatory Requirements:
- Experience: 4-6 years of progressive experience in managing teams and operations, preferably within the Financial Services or Microfinance Sector.
- Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a recognized institution.
Skills:
- Proven Team Management and Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive results.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills for Financial Performance Monitoring and Business Strategy Implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and build rapport with stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- In-depth Knowledge of Organizational Policies and Procedures specific to the Microfinance industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Training and Development facilitation skills.
- High ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for financial inclusion and empowering rural communities.
