Role Purpose:

Owns end-to-end execution of the plant's capital projects - schedule, design review, budget and contractor management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee project execution, drawing up project schedules and ensuring adherence.

- Review and approve designs/drawings of in-house projects; select and procure equipment and systems required for projects.

- Ensure project costs stay within budget; estimate costs and monitor daily project schedules with monthly reporting.

- Review and monitor project activity with direct reports and nominated contractors, adjusting schedules as needed.

- Implement safe practices for men and machinery; ensure statutory compliance and harmonious employee relations.

- Ensure timely SAP data entry; develop and coach direct reports.

Safety, Quality & Compliance:

- Ensure project execution follows Permit-to-Work, safe-work-at-height and contractor-safety protocols at every stage.

- Build quality checkpoints into design review and commissioning so new assets meet IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 process requirements from day one.

- Comply with statutory approvals, environmental clearances and internal capex governance requirements for all projects.

- Report and investigate safety incidents on project sites, ensuring corrective actions are closed before handover.

Qualifications & Experience:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering; PG in Project Management preferred.

- 22-28 years in industrial project execution, with plant-expansion project leadership.

- Strong contractor and vendor management track record.

- Technical: End-to-end project execution; Design review & cost estimation; Contractor management.

- Behavioural: Schedule and budget discipline; Safety leadership on capital projects.
