ROLE OVERVIEW:
Be the founding leader of Rashtriya Samachar's digital-first national news journey. This is an opportunity to build systems, create teams, shape editorial culture and lead the transformation from a YouTube live news operation into a future satellite television network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the successful launch and operation of the 24-7 YouTube Live News platform.
- Build editorial, production, digital, technical and administrative teams from the ground up.
- Implement newsroom SOPs, workflows, assignment desk, PCR/MCR processes and quality standards.
- Drive audience growth, digital engagement and operational excellence.
- Plan and oversee the establishment of Ahmedabad and Delhi offices.
- Prepare the organisation for satellite television by coordinating technology, compliance, infrastructure and strategic planning.
- Report directly to the Chairman with periodic performance reviews and expansion updates.
CURRENT STATUS:
- Surat Studio - Fully operational and broadcast-ready.
- Phase 1 - 24-7 YouTube Live News launch.
- Phase 2 - Scale digital operations and audience reach.
- Phase 3 - Launch satellite TV news channel.
- Future - Establish Ahmedabad and Delhi media offices.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- 15+ years in television, digital or integrated news media leadership.
- Experience in launching or scaling media operations.
- Strong newsroom leadership, people management and strategic thinking.
- Proven ability to build teams and implement systems.
- Passion for journalism, innovation and institution building.
