Sterling Oil & Gas is looking for a senior legal leader to join us as Head Project Legal Manager. This is a strategic leadership role overseeing the legal framework for mega projects in Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream), Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Power Projects, Mining, and EPC.

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Experience: 20-25 years

Reporting to: COO / CEO

What Youll Do

- Lead contract negotiation, legal structuring, and compliance for global EPC and energy projects.

- Manage EPC contracts, JV agreements, project financing, and international transactions.

- Handle regulatory compliance, arbitration, and dispute resolution across multiple jurisdictions.

- Partner with leadership to protect and enhance the companys legal and commercial position.

- Build and mentor a high-performing legal team.

What Were Looking For

- LLB / LLM with 20-25 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Power, EPC, or Mining.

- Expertise in FIDIC contracts, international arbitration, cross-border transactions, and project financing.

- Proven experience managing large-scale project legal frameworks in emerging markets / Africa / Middle East.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder, and negotiation skills.
