Spice Money - Nodal Officer - Law Enforcement Agency

OB REQUISITION: NODAL OFFICER - LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY (LEA)

The Nodal Officer (LEA) will serve as the primary liaison between the company and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), including I4C, NPCI, and MHA. The role handles legal communications, manages complaints, oversees account lien/debit freeze mandates, and ensures strict response Turnaround Times (TAT).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CORE DUTIES

- Maintain operational coordination with LEAs, I4C, NCRP, NPCI and MHA.

- Manage incoming communications, notices, and queries from LEAs nationwide.

- Monitor, investigate, and address complaints on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP).

- Draft and dispatch precise, legally sound replies to LEA notices within stipulated TATs.

- Oversee the MHA portal complaints system, including tracking, reporting and maintaining the records.

- Conduct field visits to police stations, LEA headquarters, and courts to coordinate directly with investigating officers.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- Education: LL.B / B.A. LL.B or relevant degree in Cyber Law, Criminology, or a related discipline.

- Experience: 3 - 6 years in LEA coordination, cybercrime complaint management, or legal operations within a Fintech, Bank, NBFC, or Payment System Operator (PSO).

- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of NCRP, MHA portal, I4C frameworks, NPCI guidelines, and legal provisions (e.g., Sec 91/102 CrPC / BNSS).

- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication in English and regional languages; strong conflict resolution skills.

- Mobility: Willingness to undertake local travel for on-ground coordination.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)

- TAT Compliance Rate: Timely closure of LEA queries and portal complaints.

- Accuracy & Legal Compliance: Zero regulatory defaults in notice responses and debit freeze actions.

- Record Management: Auditable maintenance of all incoming notices and responses.

- Representation: Direct representation with the MHA for routine affairs & liaisoning and identifying current on-ground challenges with I4C and Cyber Police to help build the guardrails in consultation with MHA.
