
Specialist - Staffing Operations
FRONT-END STAFFING OPERATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT 80%:
Responsible for staffing for consulting teams, with following key objectives:
- Ensure optimal matching of people needs, firm needs & client requirements; and Execute a fair and transparent staffing process
- Engage with case team leadership to understand staffing needs, including nature of assignments, staffing requirements, and oversee staffing of teams to projects based on understanding of client, office and individual needs
- Staff resource classes assigned in timely and appropriate manner, by working directly with partners, managers and CTLs to build alignment, taking into account factors such as
- Needs of case in terms of seniority and skills, Cost-to-revenue implications, Client prioritization, Individuals' PD and other staffing needs
- Meet with resources on periodic one-on-ones to understand their PD needs and to communicate staffing decisions.
- Work with Staffing Manager to ensure decisions best optimize tradeoffs between client service, utilization, and retention.
- Work with peers across the global/regional system to ensure India clients are served and we serve and support on global/regional cases requiring India team or team members
- Manage the IP, Pro-bono staffing process end to end - starting with fielding any requests that come in from the Partner team, to managing expectations on our ability to serve them, make appropriate allocations based on availability, competence, experience and commitments; flag trade-offs across clients to the Staffing Manager when we can't serve all the requests, and manage the communication end to end with all stakeholders from Partners to the Consulting staff.
- Track completion of these assignments near the end of the committed time-frame, and project the forward looking available capacity.
- Interact with partners and CFO to maintain tracking of pipeline status and staffing needs
- Prepare the communication materials for fortnightly emails to the office, as well as monthly town hall communication
- Be the single point of contact for approving all the vacation requests that come to staffing, by following a set of filters/criteria/conflicts we need to check for.
- Liaison with the case leadership when the vacations fall in a window that overlaps across Staffing and Case Team boundaries
- Support the Staffing VP with approval of Manager and Principal vacations, and esp. calling out any adjacent / conflicting pre-approved vacation/training commitments, that can otherwise make an individual un-staffable for a long window of time
STAFFING OPERATIONS AND REPORTING 20%:
- This role involves supporting the staffing operations by owing the reporting, analysis and maintenance of staffing information from suite of proprietary Human Capital Systems for the India offices - and closely support the business operations, financial tracking, as well as professional development
