The role scope and responsibilities : Overall sales operations: - Instrument and report metrics on sales funnel and quarterly revenues to senior sales leaders across geographies. Use metrics to institute a continuous sales improvement program. - Devise and implement a comprehensive deal analytics framework to improve deal closures; share industry best practices with sales teams - Create a comprehensive framework to track sales efficiency viz. a viz. industry benchmarks; use findings to drive continuous improvement programs along with sales leaders - Build a repository of all sales collateral and drive discipline in maintaining / enhancing knowledge base Sales forecasting, incentive structuring, and account planning: - Build out quarterly sales forecasts using historical data along with well-backed assumptions for growth, and work with Sales Leadership to transform projections into EAE-specific quotas. - For existing customers, ensure detailed account plans are completed by EAEs, reflected in the CRM, and approved by leadership. - For net new customers, ensure there are accurate SQL targets set for the sales development team. Process development and sales enablement: - Define or redefine within our CRM key stages in our sales cycle, and how EAEs should interact with each one; ensure sufficient collateral, such as sales decks, battlecards, and white papers, are readily available for each stage of the sales cycle process. - Consolidate and maintain up-to-date templates for lead qualification, account plans, proposals, pricing, and contracts. - Work closely with the office manager/travel coordinator to ensure all sales-related travel is within budgeted amounts. Pipeline review, team support, and sales approvals: - Design and analyze automated reports and dashboards to quickly measure progress by EAE against certain opportunities, account plans, and overall quota. - Provide the relevant Field Sales Managers with the data they need to coach their EAEs around blockers so that they remain on goal; escalate any critical blockers or personnel issues to the Director of Operations immediately. - Review all proposals and contracts against a checklist to ensure only highly viable deals go before Sales Leadership for approval. Training and incentive processing for sales team: - Identify training programs for all new EAEs and ensure completion of the training. - Create development models for the EAE function with approval from CEO; ensure EAEs are progressing against the model; arrange training as required. - Manage the calculation and inputs of Sales incentives as per the required cycles and process. Handle communications carefully and in conjunction with required leaders. Reporting to senior stakeholders: - Report to the CEO and Sales Heads weekly on the health of the pipeline - Ensure accuracy of the data shared to facilitate proactive pipeline management. - If there are risks, come prepared with the corrective actions and target resolution dates. Experience and skills: The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with 6-8 years of experience in corporate strategy and business transformation programs, and has had a focus / orientation on finance, revenue, sales and data analytics and operations. Experience working in a CEO's office or in sales operations at a young, fast-growing technology startup is highly valued. The individual should have experience and skills that resemble the following: - Strong analytical and data-driven skills (e.g:. can build models from scratch and update existing models as needed). - Excellent problem-solving skills and a process-oriented thinker with strong instincts for how to distil complexity. - Strong track record in engaging with senior stakeholders and sales professionals; is personable and empathetic. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional presence and virtual interaction manners. - Can interact with a variety of stakeholders and have impact to effectively get data streamlined and work delivered. - Is comfortable to work on multiple priorities with impeccable attention to details and sensitivity to operational nuances. - Highly organized, independent and a self-starter, with a natural inclination to be hands-on and execution focused. - Strong MS Office skills, particularly knowledge and adeptness with Excel and PowerPoint are a must. - Experience in B2B SaaS is preferred.
