Role Overview:
A senior engineering leader who is the technical pre-sales and carries it through to engineering and deployment: technically deep enough to own the solution, and strong enough on customer management to own the relationship.
You own the technical narrative from RFP response through technical conversations, technical kick-off, and live deployment, acting as the single point of contact (SPOC) from Engineering to fast-track deployments, remove roadblocks, and guide teams through complex technical problems.
Experience:
- 8 - 12 years overall, including 4 - 6 years of hands-on software development experience.
Tech Stack:
- Java, Spring Boot, Linux, MySQL, cloud, APIs, microservices, and containerized deployments.
AI Expertise:
- Practical use of AI tools across solutioning, development, debugging, troubleshooting, deployment, and technical research.
Telecom Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of telecom VAS and mobile network architecture (Core, Signaling, IN) and integrations with HLR/HSS, MSC, SMSC, IN/SCP, PCRF, OCS, USSD Gateway, and MMSC.
Protocols:
- Working knowledge of SIP/RTP, SMPP, Diameter, SS7/SIGTRAN, SCCP, MAP, CAP/CAMEL, and INAP. USSD, MM7, REST/SOAP are an advantage.
Technical Pre-Sales & Customer Management:
- Experience handling RFPs, solution presentations, technical proposals, and customer-facing technical discussions.
- Strong ability to manage technical relationships with telecom operators, align stakeholders, and manage expectations.
Communication:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both C-level and engineering stakeholders.
