Role Overview:
The Associate Director - Sales will be responsible for driving go-to-market strategy, leading high performing sales teams, and owning end-to-end sales outcomes for the function. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, operational excellence, and a hands-on approach to achieving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies including market research, case study development, competition analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Solar Consultants to achieve sales targets while maintaining a hands-on involvement in the sales process.
- Set clear, measurable, and transparent sales goals and performance metrics for the team.
- Own the end-to-end sales funnel and ensure consistent tracking, reporting, and optimization of conversion metrics.
- Conduct in-depth market research to assess market potential, track competitor activities, and provide actionable insights to refine sales, marketing, and expansion strategies.
- Drive business growth through innovative experimentation, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Build a high-performance culture with strong customer focus, operational discipline, and collaborative teamwork.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute short-term and long-term business strategies.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by building capable teams, improving processes, and delivering sustainable growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in sales leadership, GTM strategy, and team management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and competitive analysis.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with high ownership and decision-making autonomy.
- Strong customer orientation and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in fast-growing startups, D2C, or consumer-focused industries is preferred.
- Passion for clean energy and sustainable solutions is a plus.
