Role:
As ADOS Sales, you will be directly responsible for building a 'world-class customer-centric sales' organization.
At SolarSquare we take inspiration from companies like Zappos, Swiggy, and Amex and aspire to create a solid Sales engine that delivers a consistent and delightful customer experience. We are re-imagining Home-Energy with our rooftop solar solutions. We want to raise the bar for the industry and become India's #1 new-age solar brand. For this, we are looking for a Sales leader who can make the company's ambitions his own.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of scaling Sales in a high-growth / growth-stage start-up.
To be successful in this role, you must have strong interpersonal skills, be brutally result-oriented, thrive amidst ambiguity, and juggle between high-level strategy and ground-level execution rigor.
Director Sales at SolarSquare will handle a 100+ member Sales team and be the senior leader in our Sales Function
Responsibilities:
- Own the Sales architecture for SolarSquare, including strategic planning, org design, SOPs, process-tech and team culture
- Develop and implement a scalable sales process from prospecting/demand generation through contract execution along with handling a P&L.
- Work with internal team members to ensure successful onboarding and implementation for new customers.
- Leads the design and execution of sales strategies that meet or exceed SolarSquares growth, retention, and revenue projections.
- Be responsible and head residential sales for SolarSquare along with driving and manage the entire cost structure and budgets for Sales.
- Develop and measure key metrics around the business including user acquisition, conversion rates, engagement rates, and satisfaction rates.
- Hires, trains, develops, and creates a positive work environment that stimulates sales and marketing creativity and fosters a strong team environment for the sales teams
- Serves as a mentor to the team in problem-solving, decision-making, and planning activities
- Demonstrates accountability and responsibility by independently completing projects/assignments on time holding self and others accountable for meeting objectives and adhering to standards
- Drive our hiring strategy, training program, and performance management frameworks for the growth and development of the sales team
Requirements:
- Graduate/post-graduate/ MBA from tier-1 colleges (SP Jain, NMIMS, IIM, ISB graduates preferred)
- 10+ years of experience working in corporates or start-ups across sales roles
- Prior sales team leading & strategic experience
- Experience in a fast-growth start-up environment is preferred (consumer-facing start-ups)
- A strategic and tactical thinker who can plan, execute and pivot according to circumstances with a clear objective of achieving organizational growth
- Ability to work in a high-growth environment
