Job Description: Lead HR Manager - Group Companies & Factory Compliance

Position Title: Lead HR & Compliance Manager

Location: Corporate Office, Gurugram (with oversight of factory and group entities)

Reporting To: Company Founders & Directors

Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturday off)

Industry Preference: Interior Fit-out, Real Estate, Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or Manufacturing

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Lead HR Manager to lead and coordinate human resource functions across multiple group companies, including factory-level operations. The role demands a strong grasp of statutory compliance, employee relations, and HR operations, with the ability to implement consistent policies and practices across diverse business units.

Key Responsibilities

A. HR Operations & Policy Implementation

- Lead the HR team & manage end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, timely payroll, attendance, and exit formalities across group entities.

- Standardise and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks across locations.

- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS systems for all units.

B. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

- Supervise the TA team & coordinate manpower planning and hiring across group companies and factory units with the concerned stakeholders.

- Liaise with department heads to fulfill staffing needs in line with project timelines and budgets.

- Manage vendor/consultant relationships for contract staffing and third-party payroll.

C. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law Adherence

1. Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, including: Factories Act, 1948

2. ESI Act, PF Act, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Minimum Wages Act

3. Shops & Establishments Act

4. Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act

- Maintain statutory registers and ensure timely filing of returns.

- Coordinate with legal advisors and government authorities during inspections or audits.

D. Factory HR Oversight

- Supervise HR activities at factory sites, including shift rosters, welfare measures, and grievance handling.

- Ensure safety, health, and welfare provisions under the Factory Act are implemented and monitored.

- Support emergency response planning at the factory and compliance with local labour authorities.

E. Employee Relations & Engagement

- Foster a positive work culture through structured engagement programs.

- Handle disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and POSH compliance.

- Conduct periodic employee feedback sessions and address concerns proactively.

- Ensure quarterly employee feedback & evaluations in every department for a successful appraisal cycle every year.

F. Compliance Reporting & MIS

- Prepare and submit HR and compliance dashboards to senior management.

- Track and report on statutory obligations, risk exposures, and audit readiness.

- Ensure documentation is audit-ready across all group entities.

Qualifications & Experience

- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.

- Minimum 12 years of HR experience, preferably in multi-location or factory-compliance-heavy environments.

- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory frameworks.

- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-driven industries preferred.

- Experience in assisting scaling of business with adequate man-power requirement.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS platforms, and statutory portals.
