Role Title: Warehouse & Transport Manager.

Reports to: General Manager Logistics & Demand Chain.

Role Type: Team management.

Location: Chinchwad, Pune.

Business Unit: Logistics & Demand Chain (L&DC) India.

Job brief:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and dispatch.

This role ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Manage Pune, Bangalore & Chennai warehouse, Auto packing & transportation in compliance with the companys policies an vision.

- Mange the 3PL and ensure service is delivered as per the contract.

- Manage the packaging material for SKF.

- Ensure timely delivery, error free OTIF to customers by constantly monitoring and improving the service levels of the transporters.

- Ensure proactively the invoicing and delivery MIS is shared to the stake holders like CS & sales team.

- Ensure accurate inventory is maintained and managed at all times.

- Achieve the KPI of 2% reliability failure at all time.

- Ensure the daily invoicing is completed for the RPI.

- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.

- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.

- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.

- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in DC.

- Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system.

- Liaise with internal/external customers, suppliers, and transport companies.

- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, GLR report etc).

- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

- Reverse logistics Process setup.

- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations.

- Maintain housekeeping and workplace safety standards (5S).

- Conduct regular safety audits and incident investigations.

- Ensure compliance with ISO, SPS, or industry-specific regulations (if applicable).

Skills:

- Proven work experience as a Warehouse & Transportation Manager for 10-17 years.

- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.

- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.

- Good knowledge in WMS & warehouse automation.

- Knowledge and expertise of large scale warehouse set up.

- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.

- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management.

- Willing to Travel & relocate Yes.
