
Hiring for a client, a A premium luxury manufacturing and design organization,who is looking for an experienced Senior Purchase Manager to lead end-to-end procurement, vendor development, sourcing strategy, inventory coordination, and supply chain operations across high-quality raw materials and customized manufacturing processes. The company specializes in handcrafted luxury products with a strong focus on craftsmanship, engineering precision, and design innovation.
About the Role
This role requires a strong procurement professional with deep expertise in sourcing and vendor management across materials such as brass, steel, iron, leather, wood, marble, electronics, and customized components. The individual will work closely with production, design, engineering, and quality teams to ensure seamless procurement operations aligned with design specifications, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to manufacturing environments involving customized products, small-batch production, value-added sourcing, and new vendor development.
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Purchase, Vendor Development, or Supply Chain Management
- Prior experience in manufacturing industries such as furniture, automotive, engineering, luxury products, industrial manufacturing, or customized fabrication
- Strong expertise in sourcing materials like brass, steel, iron, leather, wood, marble, and other premium raw materials
- Experience in customized procurement, value-added sourcing, and small-batch manufacturing environments
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Exposure to quality control processes, inventory management, and supply chain coordination
- Experience handling vendor audits, compliance, and procurement documentation
Strong understanding of BOM preparation and procurement planning
- Exposure to procurement ERP/FMS systems and process optimization
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including production, design, engineering, QC, and accounts
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and multitasking abilities
- Willingness to travel for vendor development and supplier evaluations
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing and procurement operations
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor ecosystem across India
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, manufacturing capability, pricing, and scalability
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand technical specifications and sourcing requirements
- Lead vendor development initiatives for customized and value-added components
- Drive cost optimization, supplier negotiations, and procurement efficiency
- Oversee purchase orders, inventory planning, and timely material availability
- Conduct vendor audits and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Manage inward material quality coordination along with QC teams
- Prepare BOMs and cost breakdowns for production and sourcing requirements
- Streamline procurement workflows, systems, and vendor management processes
- Coordinate with stores and inventory teams for stock management and audits
