About the Role:

- We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our hyperlocal last-mile delivery operations.

- This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background who can manage field and support teams, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, ensuring efficiency, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Operations Management:

- Oversee the complete delivery lifecycle including supply planning, order fulfillment, and last-mile logistics.

- Optimize operations to ensure timely deliveries, reduce cancellations, and meet service-level agreements (SLAs) across regions.

- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance delivery performance.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to elevate customer experience and streamline workflows.

Driver & Fleet Management:

- Plan and forecast supply based on real-time and seasonal demand patterns.

- Diversify sourcing strategies to ensure consistent driver availability and coverage.

- Implement retention and engagement initiatives to improve driver satisfaction and reduce attrition.

- Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including vendors and suppliers.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of field executives and support staff.

- Ensure team members are equipped with training, tools, and resources required to meet operational goals.

- Design and roll out structured training and development programs.

Budget & Cost Control:

- Own and manage the P&L for delivery operations.

- Monitor and control operational expenses while driving efficiency.

- Identify opportunities for automation and cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 5-10 years of proven experience in managing hyperlocal or last-mile delivery operations across multiple cities in India.

- Strong experience in managing budgets, optimizing costs, and improving operational metrics.

- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain key partnerships with suppliers, fleet vendors, or third-party logistics providers.

- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred:

- MBA or a relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.

- Familiarity with logistics tech platforms and last-mile delivery tools.
