The Senior Manager Talent Acquisition for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) is a critical role responsible for overseeing and driving the complete talent acquisition lifecycle for our specialized engineering and operational needs within the T&D sector. This role requires deep expertise in recruiting technical talent, particularly Substation Engineers and Transmission Line Engineers, to ensure the strategic growth and operational excellence of our business units.

Key Responsibilities

1. Specialized T&D Talent Acquisition

- Domain Expertise: Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle with a specialized focus on filling highly technical and critical roles within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) domain.

- Targeted Hiring: Drive sourcing, screening, and hiring for key engineering roles, including Substation Design Engineers, Transmission Line Engineers, Protection & Control Engineers, and other specialized T&D technical positions.

- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute tailored recruitment strategies to attract top-tier T&D talent using niche job boards, industry conferences, professional engineering networks (e.g., IEEE), and specialized recruitment consultants.

2. End-to-End Recruitment Management

- Full-Cycle Ownership: Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle recruitment process for national and local positions, from manpower planning and requisition creation through sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination.

- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate closely with T&D business unit leaders and hiring managers to understand specialized hiring needs, define precise job requirements, and ensure timely closures within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).

- Process Oversight: Ensure the posting, updating, and maintenance of job advertisements across all relevant platforms to maintain consistent employer branding and maximum visibility.

- Candidate Experience: Ensure seamless coordination of interviews and professional communication throughout the selection process, maintaining a superior and positive candidate experience.

3. Team Leadership and Strategy

- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor the recruitment team, ensuring high performance, continuous skill development, and strict adherence to best practices and compliance standards in talent acquisition.

- Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement effective, data-driven recruitment strategies to attract top talent using diverse channels such as job portals, professional networks, internal databases, employee referrals, and social media.

- Performance Review: Conduct regular review meetings with stakeholders and the recruitment team to assess recruitment progress, pipeline quality, and overall process effectiveness.

4. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

- Metrics & Analysis: Track, analyze, and report key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire to support continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.

- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (specialized consultants, vendors, and educational institutions) to achieve aggressive recruitment objectives.

- Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and leverage recruitment technology (ATS, AI tools) to enhance overall recruitment efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Industry Focus: Mandatory proven experience hiring for the Power/Energy sector, specifically within Transmission & Distribution (T&D).

- Technical Focus: Demonstrated track record of successfully hiring Substation Engineers, Transmission Line Engineers, and related technical roles.

Skills & Competencies

- T&D Subject Matter Expertise: Strong foundational understanding of the roles and technical requirements within the T&D engineering and operations functions.

- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a recruitment team to achieve challenging targets.

- Strategic Sourcing: Expert proficiency in developing and executing creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-find technical talent.

- Data-Driven: Proficiency in tracking and leveraging recruitment analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

- ATS Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM tool
