Senior Manager - Payroll

About the job:

Payroll Management:

- Lead end-to-end payroll processing ensuring 100% accuracy and timely disbursement

- Manage payroll for multi-location operations across India

- Handle salary structuring, reimbursements, deductions, and final settlements (FnF)

- Establish robust payroll controls, validations, and checkpoints

Compliance & Statutory Management:

- Ensure full compliance with PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, and other labour laws

- Stay updated and implement changes related to new labour codes (Wage Code, Social Security Code, etc.)

- Manage statutory filings, returns, and documentation across states

Audit & Governance:

- Lead internal and external audits with complete readiness

- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance records

- Work closely with auditors and stakeholders to ensure smooth audit closure

Process & Scale:

- Design and implement scalable payroll and compliance processes

- Support business expansion across multiple states and locations

- Drive automation and efficiency in payroll operations

Stakeholder & Team Management:

- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and leadership teams

- Manage and mentor payroll team members

- Ensure seamless coordination across departments

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in Payroll & Compliance

- Mandatory experience in fast-paced internet, consumer tech, or D2C companies

- Strong hands-on expertise in Tally ERP

- Proven experience managing multi-location payroll operations

- Deep understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance

- Strong experience handling internal and external audits

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
