Description:
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15 years in legal services, with at least 10+ years in a supervisory/client-facing role in an LPO or corporate legal setup.
- Exposure to U.S., U.K., or other common law jurisdictions preferred.
- Proven expertise in contract analysis, litigation support, and compliance.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong drafting, research, and interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Familiarity with contract management platforms (Icertis, DocuSign CLM, etc.), review tools (Relativity, Everlaw), and case management systems (Clio, ActionStep, Practice Panther).
- Strong communication and client engagement skills.
- Ability to lead teams, handle multiple priorities, and work under pressure.
- High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and support on contracts, compliance, litigation, and other business law matters.
- Lead and supervise the legal team to ensure efficient handling of legal operations and client requirements.
- Conduct detailed contract analysis, risk assessments, and due diligence reviews.
- Support litigation activities by preparing documents, managing case files, and liaising with external counsel.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across jurisdictions.
- Engage and build strong relationships with clients, understanding their legal needs and delivering timely solutions.
- Manage legal workflows and utilize contract management and case management tools to optimize processes.
- Maintain high ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity in all legal matters.
- Keep abreast of legal developments in relevant jurisdictions and advise the organization accordingly.
