Senior Manager - Legal - Real Estate Transactions (Lawyer / Solicitor) - BKC
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct title due diligence, legal verification, and risk assessment for land and property transactions.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and vet legal agreements related to real estate acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, and joint ventures.
- Prepare and review documents including Agreement for Sale, Conveyance Deed, Development Agreement, Agreement to Lease, Lease Deed, Deed of Assignment, Leave & License Agreement, Escrow Agreement, and Power of Attorney.
- Draft and review financing and investment documents, including Mortgage Deeds, Pledge Agreements, Deposit of Title Deeds, Shareholders Agreements, and Debt Fund and Private Equity transaction documents.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, financial institutions, and external legal counsels to achieve financial closure.
- Handle RERA registrations, compliance matters, and draft RERA complaints and legal responses.
- Advise on legal matters relating to Real Estate Laws, Corporate Laws, IBC, FDI, RBI regulations, and related statutory requirements.
- Provide legal support for redevelopment and development projects, including SRA, Society Redevelopment, Township, and Tenant Redevelopment projects.
- Liaise with government authorities, registration offices, and regulatory bodies for registrations and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal legal policies.
Required Skills & Experience:- 7-10 years of experience in a reputed Real Estate Company or Law Firm.
- Strong expertise in Property Title Due Diligence, Real Estate Documentation, Property Transactions, Stamp Duty & Registration, and Conveyancing.
- Hands-on experience in drafting and reviewing commercial real estate agreements.
- Experience handling Debt Fund, Private Equity, and Project Financing legal documentation.
- Good knowledge of RERA, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), Corporate Laws, Real Estate Laws, FDI Regulations, and RBI Regulations.
- Experience in redevelopment projects (SRA, Society Redevelopment, Township, Tenant Redevelopment).
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- Experience working with leading real estate developers, infrastructure companies, or reputed law firms.
- Exposure to litigation support and dispute resolution is an added advantage.
