Position Summary
- The Sr. Manager plays a pivotal role in leading delivery teams, ensuring high-quality execution of client projects, maintaining compliance with global legal standards, and nurturing client relationships
- This role demands a strong foundation in legal concepts, managerial skills, attention to detail, and a service-driven mindset to meet the evolving demands of international legal clients
Key Responsibilities
Delivery and Project Management
- Manage and supervise the end-to-end delivery of legal support services
- Handle litigation support services in US litigation with focus on personal injury, insurance defense, tort, and workers' compensation; exposure to Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes will be preferred
- Maintain quality deliverables by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client expectations and legal standards
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Address and resolve delivery-related issues and client escalations proactively
- Create reporting trackers, dashboards, baseline metrics, and track SLAs agreed with clients
People and Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and coach legal associates and senior associates
- Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and implement performance improvement strategies
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, upskilling initiatives, and career development support
Operational and Strategic Initiatives
- Assist the Delivery Head in strategic planning, process optimization, and resource management
- Collaborate with business development teams on proposals, RFPs, client presentations, and proof-of-concept projects
- Support implementation of legal tech tools and process automation initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- LL.B. (mandatory) from a recognized law school; LL.M preferred
- 12 years of experience in legal services with 10+ years in a supervisory or client-facing role in an LPO
- Exposure to U.S., U.K., or other common law jurisdictions is highly desirable
Key Skills & Competencies
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and interpretation skills
- Strong command of legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Familiarity with case management software such as ActionStep, Clio, Practice Panther
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interaction with global clients
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure
- High standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity
