Role description:
Resolve excise, customs and service tax cases and ensure updation of compliance software tracking for circulation of amendments and compliances to exercise due diligence.
- Prepare due diligence report after physical verification of all documents.
- Monitor and control total compliance within agreed time.
- Ensure timely planning and execution of compliance projects.
- Identify relevant case laws to establish our case and get the case in favour of the Company.
- Establish relevant system to fetch details of renewal of licences and approval from government activity.
- Prepare, review and ensure adherence to department policies and SOPs.
- Ensure timely execution of new legal changes.
- Perform the role of people manager.
Educational qualification(s): LLB cleared in 1st attempt, CS would be a desirable qualification.
Experience: 10 to 15 years.
Mandate:
- In depth knowledge of Central Excise, Customs, Service Tax, Anti dumping and Safeguard duty matters.
- Litigate the above cases independently by drafting, preparing, and arguing matters up to the Tribunal level.
- Court cases, orders, and judgements are a pre-interview mandate.
