Senior Manager (Legal Counsel)

Experience- 7 to 9 years

Location- Gurugram

Must have:

- Experience in Litigation Management.

- Exposure to both corporate legal departments and practicing law firms.

- Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office suite.

- Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) /Master of Laws (L.L.M.)

Description:

- We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of Indian legal systems, with hands-on experience in litigation, corporate advisory, and regulatory matters. The candidate must have worked in both a corporate legal department and a practicing law firm, demonstrating versatility and depth in legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Litigation Management:

- Handle and oversee civil, commercial, and regulatory litigation across various forums including High Courts, Tribunals, and District Courts.

- Coordinate with external counsels, draft pleadings, and ensure timely filing and representation.

- Maintain litigation trackers and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.

2. Legal Advisory & Compliance:

- Provide legal opinions and risk assessments on business operations, contracts, and regulatory issues.

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws including Contract Act, IPR, Labour Laws, and sector- specific regulations.

3. Contract Management:

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including vendor contracts, NDAs, lease deeds, service agreements, and MoUs.

- Support business teams in structuring legally sound transactions.

4. Regulatory & Statutory Interface:

- Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and law enforcement agencies as required.

- Handle legal notices and statutory communications.

5. Corporate Governance & Risk:

- Support internal audits, risk assessments, and policy reviews.

- Assist in legal due diligence for M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
