Lead Manager Finance & Accounts - Treasury

Experience: 5 - 7 Years

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic Finance & Treasury professional to lead treasury, cash-flow management, funding, investments and financial risk management for a growing pharmaceutical/manufacturing organization.

This is a high-ownership role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, drive financial planning and liquidity optimization, and contribute to key funding and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Flow & Liquidity Management:

- Manage daily cash positions and ensure optimal liquidity.

- Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and 13-week rolling cash-flow forecasts.

- Optimize fund utilization and proactively manage surplus/shortfall positions.

- Provide recommendations on deployment of surplus funds.

Budgeting & Fund Flow:

- Lead the annual budgeting and fund-flow planning process.

- Monitor planned vs. actual fund flows and highlight variances.

- Support project cost control through financial feasibility and analysis.

Treasury & Risk Management:

- Identify and manage interest rate, foreign exchange and credit risks.

- Monitor market trends and recommend appropriate treasury strategies.

- Strengthen internal financial controls and risk-management processes.

Funding & Banking:

- Evaluate funding requirements for working capital and capital projects.

- Support debt/equity planning and optimize the organization's capital structure.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, NBFCs and financial institutions.

Investment Management:

- Manage deployment of surplus funds to optimize returns while maintaining liquidity.

- Monitor investment portfolios and evaluate financial performance.

- Prepare periodic investment and treasury reports for senior management.

Project Financials & Feasibility:

- Evaluate CAPEX/project financial feasibility and investment proposals.

- Track projected vs. actual project costs and provide financial insights.

- Partner with business/project teams to ensure financial discipline and cost control.

Regulatory & FEMA Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with applicable financial, tax, accounting and FEMA regulations.

- Manage documentation and reporting requirements for cross-border transactions.

- Coordinate with internal/external auditors and relevant regulatory stakeholders.

- Monitor applicable RBI/FEMA requirements for foreign exchange transactions and investments.

Stakeholder & Team Management:

- Lead and develop the finance/treasury team, ensuring productivity and accountability.

- Work closely with senior management and internal business teams on financial matters.

- Manage relationships with auditors, banking partners, financial institutions and other external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

- CA with 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Finance, Cash Flow or Fund Management.

- Strong understanding of cash-flow forecasting, treasury operations, budgeting and financial modelling.

- Hands-on experience in banking relationships, funding, investments and financial risk management.

- Good understanding of FX/FEMA regulations and cross-border transactions.

- Experience in CAPEX/project feasibility and financial analysis will be an advantage.

- Exposure to pharmaceutical, manufacturing or other asset-intensive industries is preferred.

- Strong communication, stakeholder-management and team-leadership skills.

- Experience with SAP, Oracle or other ERP/financial systems.
