We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee end-to-end HR operations, administrative governance, and statutory compliance. This role requires a manufacturing veteran with deep expertise in Indian labor laws, factory regulations, and the complexities of an import-export environment. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational management to ensure seamless compliance and organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Advise senior management on workforce planning, manpower budgeting, and organizational structuring.
- Lead HR transformation initiatives, policy implementation, and process optimization.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture-building initiatives.
2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law Management (Critical Responsibility)
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations including Factories Act, EPF,
ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Shops & Establishment, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages
Act, Payment of Wages Act, and POSH Compliance.
- Liaise with government authorities, labour officers, PF/ESIC inspectors, factory inspectors, and auditors.
- Oversee statutory audits, compliance documentation, and returns filing.
- Maintain compliance registers, licenses, and renewal tracking.
- Handle labour disputes, notices, and legal correspondence.
3. Factory HR Operations
- Manage manpower planning for production, quality, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Oversee payroll, attendance, leave management, and shift scheduling.
- Ensure contractor compliance and third-party labour documentation.
- Handle disciplinary matters, domestic inquiries, and grievance resolution.
- Implement performance management systems for factory staff.
4. Import-Export HR & Documentation Coordination
- Support EXIM compliance documentation in coordination with logistics and accounts.
- Ensure labour and workforce compliance related to export operations.
- Coordinate HR documentation for audits related to international clients.
5. Administration & Facility Management
- Oversee factory and corporate office administration.
- Manage security, housekeeping, transport, vendor management, and facility upkeep.
- Monitor AMC contracts, insurance policies, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Ensure workplace safety standards in coordination with EHS teams.
- Supervise admin team and external vendors.
6. Payroll & Compensation Management
- Oversee monthly payroll processing with statutory deductions.
- Ensure timely PF, ESIC, PT, and TDS filings.
- Manage full & final settlements.
- Review compensation benchmarking and increments.
7. Policy Development & Governance
- Draft, implement, and update HR policies aligned with manufacturing compliance.
- Develop SOPs for HR and admin processes.
- Ensure documentation readiness.
Required Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources (mandatory).
- Additional certification in Labour Laws / Industrial Relations preferred.
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience, with at least 5 years in manufacturing setup.
- Experience in pharmaceutical / regulated manufacturing industry preferred.
- Strong exposure to factory compliance and statutory audits.
