Location : Mumbai Qualification: MBA HR Experience : 15 to 20 years Role Purpose: The role Holder will be responsible for managing Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relationships (ER) as part of the HR department and reporting to HR Head. You will play a vital role in ensuring a harmonious work environment, handling grievances effectively, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations. Your expertise in legal matters, coupled with the ability to audit internal HR processes and vendor compliance, will be crucial to the success of this role. Additionally, you will be expected to communicate and interact with the board confidently and effectively. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Industrial Relations Management: Develop and implement strategies to maintain positive employee relations, minimize conflicts, and facilitate open communication between management and employees/ Unions. - Grievance Handling: Timely and effective resolution of employee grievances, ensuring fair treatment and adherence to company policies and labour laws. - Legal Knowledge: Stay updated on labour laws and regulations of the country, providing guidance and support to the HR team and management to ensure compliance. - HR Compliance Management: Monitor and ensure adherence to labour laws and internal HR policies across the organization, conducting periodic audits to identify and address any non-compliance issues. - Vendor Compliance: Audit vendor compliance with respect to labour law-related matters and establish effective vendor management practices. - Board Communication: Draft comprehensive reports and notes for the board, effectively communicating key challenges, achievements, and strategies. - Employee Engagement: Contribute to enhancing employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive work culture, and implementing employee feedback mechanisms. - Conflict Resolution: Identify potential conflicts and proactively work to resolve issues, promoting a productive and collaborative work environment. - Training and Development: Collaborate with the learning and development team to design and deliver training sessions related to HR compliance and legal matters for employees and management. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact confidently with the board and senior management. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, leading HR initiatives effectively. - High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive HR and legal matters. - Familiarity with HR software and tools for managing employee data and Automation processes, ERP Implementation and transformation. Qualification and Desired Competency : - 15 to 20yeras experience, Master's degree in Human Resources related field is prerequisite, degree from a premier college would be advantageous. - Advanced degree or certifications in HR, Labour Law or Legal Areas would be advantageous. - Proven experience in managing Industrial Relations and Employee Relationships within an HR department. - In-depth knowledge of labour laws and regulations in multiple countries, with a track record of ensuring compliance. - Strong expertise in grievance handling and conflict resolution, promoting positive employee relations. - Ability to conduct comprehensive internal audits and vendor compliance reviews related to labour laws. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact confidently with the board and senior management. - Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and recommend strategic HR interventions. - High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive HR and legal matters. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, leading HR initiatives effectively. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges. - Familiarity with HR software and tools for managing employee data and processes.
