Senior Manager/Assistant General Manager - Learning & Development

Capability strategy and needs diagnosis:

Translate AOP, workforce, product, technology and transformation priorities into an annual and quarterly capability plan. Establish role and skill maps, proficiency standards and learning priorities with business leaders, HRBPs and SMEs.

Automotive, technical and functional academies:

Architect and govern role-based curricula for manufacturing, quality, engineering-R&D, supply chain, digital-data, sales, service, customer and dealer capability where in scope. Build future-skills pathways for e-mobility, connected technologies, automation, green capability and advanced manufacturing as relevant to business plans.

Leadership, behavioural and talent development:

Design and deploy journeys for people managers, leaders, critical talent, new joiners and early-career cohorts. Integrate mentoring, action learning, assessment, IDPs and role exposure with talent and succession processes.

Learning delivery, compliance and operations:

Run a disciplined learning calendar using classroom, digital, simulation, on-the-job and cohort-based methods suited to corporate, plant, shift and field populations. Maintain mandatory-learning governance, attendance, content controls and learner support.

Learning technology, data and governance:

Own LMS adoption, learning records, dashboards, content lifecycle and reporting. Establish common standards, review mechanisms and decision quality analytics across businesses and locations.

Learning transfer and business impact:

Link priority interventions to defined performance gaps and agree success measures with line owners. Evaluate reaction, learning, application and organisational impact, and use evidence to improve or discontinue programmes.

Faculty, partner and budget management:

Build internal faculty and SME capability, govern external partners, and manage procurement, commercials and budgets within the approved delegation of authority. Create scalable content and institutional partnerships where appropriate.
